Codavia Health builds an AI-native electronic health record for practices and hospitals in the United States. The premise is simple: most clinical software treats artificial intelligence as a feature bolted onto an existing record. We started from the other end — a single patient record with intelligence built into every screen that touches it.

Why we built it

Clinicians finish their notes after hours. Context gets scattered across a scribe here, a portal there, and billing somewhere else. The same facts get typed twice. Every visit generates a queue of referrals, prior authorizations, coding and follow-ups that all land on someone’s desk after the patient has gone home.

Those problems are not solved by adding another tool. They are solved by making the record itself do the work — which is why the ambient scribe, clinical decision support and automated coding in Codavia are not add-on products. They run inside the same twenty-one modules that handle registration, orders, labs, prescriptions, billing and analytics.

How the product is built

• One record, twenty-one modules. Front office, clinical, revenue and platform functions all write to the same patient record — there is no sync step between them.
• AI inside the workflow, not beside it. The scribe drafts the note in the encounter screen; coding suggestions appear on the charge capture screen; decision support surfaces in the chart.
• Privacy first. The ambient scribe does not store patient audio. A BAA is signed before any PHI is shared.
• Interoperable by default. HL7 and FHIR R4 support so the record connects to labs, imaging and downstream systems.
